We’re opening up the ELEVATE WebApp for testing, and we’d love your help.
ELEVATE is a practical learning methodology that helps teams develop Transcultural
Competence by learning to work better in relation to one another. Its blended programme
combines onsite workshops with an e-learning WebApp, and that WebApp is what we’re
inviting people to test before the final release.
The app is available in six languages: English, German, French, Polish, Spanish and
Euskera (Basque). We’re looking for people who’d be willing to explore it and tell us what
works, what’s confusing, and what could be better.
What the ELEVATE WebApp helps teams do
The ELEVATE WebApp is the e-learning side of the programme. It gives teams a structured,
reflective space to develop Transcultural Competence that is tailored to the practices they
need to improve, to understand how they work together, and turn what they build together
into new, shared ways of working. It also gives teams a way to track their progress and the
implementation of their transfer goals.
The app is organised into three modules, each building one core capability: Team Self-
Awareness, Trust, and Resilience & Growth. Every module follows the same structure:
- Pre- and post-assessment questions that help team members assess their level of awareness, about their and their teams communication styles, and behavioural patterns, before and after the module.
- An opening video that gives an overview of the theoretical underpinnings of the module.
- A four-step methodology that runs through the module: Recognise, Connect, Elevate and Implement. Each of the first three steps includes a Knowledge Bite, with a short scenario to test what you already know or have just learned, and a set of four Microlearning cards with micro information for participants to consume and a chance to reflect on how it all applies to their own team. The final step, Implement, also includes a short video that helps anchor what the team has learned.
Alongside the modules, the WebApp also includes:
- Team Quests: the place where a team turns its decisions into transfer goals, checks off what team members have achieved together, and keeps a collective record of their shared objectives.
- Learning Journal: a private space that belongs only to you, for capturing insights and questions as they come.
- ChatBOT: a thinking partner grounded in Nonviolent Communication and Transcultural Competence that helps you work through a difficult moment by focusing on what happened, what you felt, what you needed, and what you could ask for next, rather than who was right.
- Library: a growing collection of readings, videos, podcasts and games, organised around the three competences, for when you want to go deeper.
What we’re asking of Beta Testers
You don’t need to be an expert in intercultural work, just curious and willing to share honest
feedback. Explore the app at your own pace, try out the features, and let us know what’s
clear, what gets in the way, and what’s missing. Your input will directly shape the final
version.
